Campus Energía Inteligente

CEI Energía Inteligente Bioenergy & Smart Cities

The Project Campus of International Excellence “Smart Energy” is born with the wish of five public universities - Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Universidad de Alcalá, Universidad de Murcia, Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena and Universidad de Extremadura- to become one of the relevant actors in the European knowledge panorama and a reference in the areas of bio-energy and smart infrastructures. To achieve this goal, the project plans to capitalize on the large expertise offered by two Spanish multinational companies - REPSOL and FERROVIAL-, two public research centres - Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas, Medioambientales y Tecnológicas (CIEMAT) and Instituto Madrileño de Estudios Avanzados en Energía (IMDEA Energía)-, and the public corporate entity adscribed to the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade, the Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas, Medioambientales y Tecnológicas (CIEMAT) y el Instituto Madrileño de Estudios Avanzados en Energía (IMDEA Energía).
